THE ASH-COVERED SKY ABOVE THE CHARRED FOREST
The collection consists of eleven abstract paintings dedicated to themes of rebirth and transience. The works are based on a solid linden tree, birch plywood, and cotton canvas. Using matte acrylic with dominant colors of black, white, and brown, they blend together with a multitude of shades to create gradient transitions as the main element of the compositions, conveying a subtle dynamic of light and shadow, captivating with depth and the layered meanings. The texture of quartz sand envelops the canvas, giving each work an earthy texture of barren landscapes. Contrasts create a tumultuous interplay between the unyielding darkness and the beauty of the smoky, ashy sky.
The amazing resilience of nature, with its inherent beauty of destruction with its ability to regenerate, gives rise to compelling ideas of balance, change and the cyclical nature of existence.
